Quarter one is blowing by! Last week as a full moon and tomorrow is Halloween. Kids are trying to keep their focus as we near the end of the first report card. In English, freshmen have finished the short story The Cold Equations while learning how to annotate a fictional text effectively. They are now starting their first essay on a conflict and resolution from their own lives. Within this essay, they are aligning their experiences to those of a character they can relate to. Yearbook students are chipping away at our first section of pages and enthusiastically taking pictures around the school and its events. If you have any photos of KHS events, please send them into yearbook at this site using code 04541. Journalism students have completed their first newsletter articles and are currently revising so we can put out the best product possible.
Quarter one closes November 5th with report cards out shortly after. Students are out of school November 6th for election day. Underclassmen picture make up day is November 8th. Senior portrait make up day is November 16th and sign ups are located outside of classroom C8.
